Open Sky School celebrated Baisakhi with great zeal and cultural vibrancy on 13 April 2026. Students of Classes II to IV actively participated in a special assembly that beautifully reflected the essence of the harvest festival.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome, followed by an informative presentation where students highlighted the significance of wheat as a major crop and acknowledged the hard work and dedication of farmers. Through short enactments and presentations, they depicted how Baisakhi is celebrated across different states of India. A meaningful narration of the story of the Panch Pyare added a spiritual dimension to the assembly.
The celebration became lively with energetic performances of traditional Punjabi folk dances—Bhangra and Giddha—which filled the atmosphere with joy and enthusiasm. The students’ confidence and coordination were highly appreciated by the audience.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Sonu Sharma, Chairperson of Open Sky, who addressed the gathering with her inspiring and encouraging words. She appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and guided the young learners about the importance of festivals, gratitude, and cultural values.
The celebration concluded on a cheerful note, making it a memorable experience for all. It was truly an event filled with learning, fun, and appreciation for the spirit of harvest and togetherness.
