Open Sky School, Sec – 5 Gurugram celebrated its Annual Day on October 23rd ,2019. The euphoric occasion was graced by the Chief Guest Mrs. Asha  Sharma, President SDAV society, Guest of honour Dr. Sonu Sharma, Chairperson Open Sky and honorable  members of the management. Every nook and corner of the school resonated with the colours, flavours  and nuances of it’s theme – Jagriti – An Awakening to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of the father of the nation – Mahatma Gandhi. A splendid artistic exhibition showcasing Gandhiji’s life mesmerized everyone. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp accompanied by the soothing vocals of vedic chants. Celebrating the role of Mahatma Gandhi in India’s freedom movement, this theatrical presentation embarked on a journey, where multitude of Bapu’s virtues and hardships were rekindled and revisited. The performers cast a spell on the audience with their stagecraft. The play was skillfully interspersed and interwoven with various dances which took the story forward. The empowered students through their power packed performances called for every individual to awaken the Gandhi present within ourselves and to crusade against injustice and walk the talk towards social upliftment. The objective was realized when students received a standing ovation and hardly anyone in audience was dry eyed at the end of the presentation.
