Open Sky School celebrated Independence Day with great pomp and show. The euphoric occasion was graced by the Chief Guest Mrs. Asha Sharma, President SDAV society and Guest of honour Dr. Sonu Sharma, Chairperson Open Sky. Every nook and corner of the school resonated with the colours, flavours and nuances of it’s theme–‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate the 75th year of India’s independence. The gala event was spread over three days with a host of competitions, performances and the Investiture ceremony of the school’s Student Council.    ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is an embodiment of our commitment to nation building. To invoke a feeling of patriotism in children, various activities were conducted around the theme.  Children made posters and gave a presentation on the evolution of the Indian National Flag to promote awareness about The Tiranga. Also, students actively and enthusiastically participated in the various competitions which not only showcased the patriotic fervor but also the rich cultural heritage of our country like Slogan writing, poem recitation, role pays, quizzes, poster making, fireless cooking, rangoli competition, display board making competition etc. National Flags were distributed among the excited children who were told to hoist flags on their homes. Then came the moment which all were waiting for. Elected the school leaders,  Head boy, Ansh Kumar Singh, Head girl Simran and Sports captain Priyanshu Vashisht  along with the other council members were conferred with the badges; They took pledge to take their school and nation forward. This was followed by a splendid dance drama which mesmerized everyone.  The program ended with an inspiring speech by the President, Mrs Asha Sharma encouraging the students to welcome the new but not to forget the leaders who laid the foundation for the success of the country. The event ended with the sound of Jai Hind Jai Bharat echoing across the school.
