Students of Open Sky celebrated Krishna Janmashtami, an annual commemoration of birth of the Hindu deity Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu, on the school campus on 05.09.23.
Students of pre primary and primary wing came dressed up as Krishna, Radha and other characters from Krishna Leela. The school was decorated for the celebration and songs related to Janmashtami were played. Krishna Leela was enacted by the primary students. A puja was performed by the staff and children of the school. Fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of burning camphor and jingle of the bells filled the air. Prasad was distributed to all children after the puja. A small skit, signifying Janmashtami’s message of encouraging good will and discouraging bad will, was shown to kids.
The pious occasion was celebrated harmoniously and joyously.
