Open Sky School celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day on August 14, 2024, with great patriotic fervor during a special event titled “Nehru – The Man of Peace.” The celebration united students, faculty, and staff in a heartfelt expression of national pride, with the campus beautifully decorated in the colors of saffron, white, and green, reflecting the spirit of freedom. The festivities began in the early morning, featuring Chief Guest Mrs. Asha Sharma, President of the SDAV Society. This year, the focus was on honoring Jawaharlal Nehru, a visionary leader who played a vital role in shaping the nation. Students presented an engaging program that showcased Nehru’s ideals of unity, progress, and dedication, making the event both inspiring and memorable. As part of the "Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat" initiative, an inter-house quiz competition was held for the primary wing, highlighting the paired states of Haryana and Manipur. Vajpayee House claimed first place, followed by Indira House in second. In her address, Mrs. Asha Sharma stressed the importance of Independence Day and encouraged students to embrace Nehru’s principles for the nation’s growth. The day was a meaningful reminder of reflection, pride, and commitment to India’s ideals.
