Earth Day

“We are the first generation to feel the impact of climate change and the last generation that can do something about it.”

The students of Grades VI-IX observed Earth Day on April 22, 2024, with sincerity and a sense of commitment. A range of events were organized to sensitize the children about the importance of conserving natural resources and motivate them to contribute towards protecting their environment. Posters and banners were put up across the school to build awareness, and the school amphitheater  was transformed into a hub of celebration with messages and slogans aesthetically displayed on the walls, display boards and wings  to highlight the significance of Earth Day. The global theme for this year’s Earth Day, “Plastic Vs Planet,” was given special emphasis.

Our Earth buddies expressed their views through dances, skit, and talk show. A thought-provoking Nukkad Natak by students highlighted the importance of fighting climate change and conveyed a strong message about the little ways by which we can take care of our Earth. They raised slogans and voiced their thoughts with great zeal and enthusiasm, emphasizing the need for everyone to invest their time and effort in protecting the environment and reducing the impact of global warming. As an integrated learning experience, posters, slogans, wings highlighting the importance of saving the Earth, reducing carbon footprints were put up on the corridor boards. The Chief guest Mrs. Asha Sharma, President SDAV society appreciated the participants for their praiseworthy performance and highlighted the need to take the call of the hour and SAVE EARTH.
