The students, by simulating bodies and houses of the Indian Parliament system learnt about diplomacy, effective communication, national / international relations and politics, and the working of the parliament in general. All the parliamentary formalities were followed. The students were very enthusiastic about it and they took part in it with the same spirit. The agenda for this mock session was – Reviewing the commitment made by the government of India to farmers and farmer organisations in regard to MSP and other demands raised. The students learnt to raise issues of social and national importance. The event boosted their confidence and they really honed their debating skill.
